PEM is a leading provider of turbine maintenance and mechanical field services to the power generation industry. PEM has a national recruiting presence with craft labor, allowing for fast and economical staffing of almost any field service skill set. PEM can supply between 30-500 field service personnel to support wind projects. These wind services include:

• Craft Labor & Supervision Augmentation
• Experienced turbine supervision promotes increased crew productivity, avoidance of potential injuries, and maximized opportunities to expedite project completion
• Technical, mechanical, and precision work conducted on Fossil/Nuclear/Hydro turbines is virtually identical to that of wind turbines, allowing for a vast experienced and qualified work force to be available to wind projects
  
  
• Project Management
• With PEM project management, new capabilities are offered, including:
• Management interface for all customer initiatives, problem resolution, and staffing level adjustment
• Cost accounting and weekly progress budget reports
• Local purchasing capability and financial controls for equipment, fuel, and tooling
  
  
• Commissioning
• PEM supports OEM commissioning of new wind turbines through Commissioning Assistants. The purpose of this role is to allow OEM commissioning staff to split up the customary 2-person teams to 1-OEM technician and 1 assistant. This allows the OEM to cover twice the number of turbines simultaneously, and expedite turbine commissioning.
• PEM has a pool of available contract commissioning technicians for GE, Suzlon, Gamesa, and Vestas turbines which are available upon request.
  
  
• OEM Warranty Support
• PEM can support OEM warranty initiatives through either crew augmentation or through complete project management.
  
  
• Logistics & Equipment
• PEM can supply necessary rental equipment and logistical support to enable project success.
  
  
• Laser Alignment
• PEM is skilled in the operation of both laser alignment systems and traditional precision measurement alignment systems.
  
  
• "A-Services" Maintenance Services
• PEM has experience in providing "A-Services" labor support on various models of 2-3MW wind turbines and can apply lessons learned to increase productivity on future sites.
  
  
• Generator Replacements (In-Air)
• PEM has replaced over (280) - 2MW wind turbine generators, mostly in air. Replacements involved:
• Disassembly of nacelle, heavy rigging, removal of generator, final laser alignment, recoupling, and reassembly of turbine.
  
  
• Onsite Gearbox Repair Services
• PEM crews of turbine technicians are experienced in rotating equipment disassembly, indentification of sub components requiring repair, and reassembly and return of the equipment back to service.
